APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Read all the information on this page.
  2. Click on the “APPLICATION” link below to register via the online portal.
  3. Fill out the online application.
  4. Upload your solo audition material video directly onto the application site (for ages 13yrs and older).
  5. Submit your application fee online.
  6. Confirm and you are done! You will receive an email confirmation.

APPLICATION TIMETABLE

March 15, 2024: Application Deadline.
(Late Applications will be considered if space is available.)

Audition Materials

All advanced students must wear ballet attire, have hair neatly secured, capture the entire body, and only execute steps that are safe to do in your environment. We recommend that you record yourself in a studio that you currently attend classes at. Students currently enrolled in PBA’s Preparatory Department for dance or TKA The Kings Academy dance program are exempt from the audition requirement.

In center, facing the camera, a tendu a la seconde and next facing either wall, in 1st arabesque on flat for Beginner/Intermediate and on demi pointe for Advanced.

 

CENTER VIDEO (Advanced Only)

Provide a YouTube or Vimeo link with the following:

  • An adagio that includes a promenade, a slow pirouette and sustained balance
  • A petite allegro combination
  • Traveling pirouettes
  • A grand allegro combination 

Pointe Work: (Advanced girls only or those on pointe more than two years)

  • An enchainement that incorporates, bourree, echappes, soutenu en tournant, single pirouette from fourth (endedans and endehors).
  • Traveling pirouettes in both directions

Male students:

  • A single tour
  • Grandes Pirouettes in a la seconde

Please, do not exceed 15 minutes in length. 

APPLICATION/PROCESSING FEE

The non-refundable application/processing fee is US $100
This fee is payable online by credit or debit card as the final step in submitting the application.

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION LETTERS

Acceptance letters will be emailed to all applicants within one week of receipt of application material.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT

50% Tuition Deposit is due within one week of receiving your acceptance notice.
Include the signed Pledge, Waiver, and Tuition Reservation Deposit.

Payment via Credit Card/Debit Card is accepted.

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATION

Please note, there are no refunds issued if you need to withdraw after May 15.

ACCOUNT BALANCE AND MEDICAL FORMS

The Account Balance and Medical Forms are due May 15.
The balance of your account must be paid in full by May 15th. Arrival of the final tuition payment after the May 15 deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list, as well as a $50 late fee.
